Roleplaying Games are my favorite genre in video games. I love how you feel apart of the game. The stories, gameplay, and music help emerge someone in the game. You feel like you’ve gone on a real journey with your character. I have played tons of RPGs, from the best Final Fantasy games to Dragon Quest, and my favorite RPG series, Xenoblade Chronicles. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is my favorite RPG of all time. Here’s why.
I won’t give too much away, but Rex meets Pyra, who needs to get to Elysium. They meet memorable characters like Tora, Zeke, Poppi, Pandy, Nia, and Dromarch, to name a few. What makes the story incredible is the amount of depth and how the story presents different points of view. The story also deals with poverty, war, death, and philosophy. I watch the cut scenes over and over to soak in all the story bits there is to digest.
I have never seen a game that has so many great characters. Nia is tough but has softer qualities too. Zeke comes off as the comic relief, but then he talks about how bad people have it. One character can seem hilarious one minute, and heartbreaking the next. More games need to give their characters this kind of depth.
Gameplay makes or breaks a game. XC2 thrives with great gameplay and depth. It takes time to get used to the gameplay, but it is worth it. You combine elements and form attack chains. That is the base of how the gameplay works. There is a lot of depth, and some fans have been put off by that. There are tutorials to help the gamer learn the complexities of the gameplay. Once you get used to the gameplay, you will find it easy and accessible.
The soundtrack to XC2 is my favorite soundtrack in any video game that I have played. Even over Breath of the Wild’s grand music. From the quiet, peaceful tracks, to full-blown orchestras blaring out memorable beats. The daylight theme of Mor Ardain is my favorite. It is so royal and epic sounding.
I love the mythology of the Xenoblade Chronicles series. What I love about XC2 mythology is how complete the mythology is, but it is also easy to follow. They explain the blades and how they work. How drivers are chosen and how everything came into existence. It sounds like a lot to take in, but the layers are added a little at a time, so the player isn’t overwhelmed.
The Art Style
Each landscape has a gorgeous and unique look to them. I could sit back and look at the scenery for hours and not tire of the sights. The monsters are grand and scary. The titans will blow your mind. The landscapes will make your jaw drop, and the characters are memorable. The artists at Monolith Soft are legends, and this is my favorite art I’ve seen in any of their other games.
The Amount of Content
Fire Emblem Three Houses have a lot of content, but it has nothing on XC2. The regular run-through will take over one hundred hours. Then the game plus mode will take thirty hours, and the wonderful DLC Torna the Golden Country that takes over twenty hours to complete. That is one hundred and fifty hours of content, at least. Then there are all the blades to find and all the side quests to complete. If you want a content-rich game, XC 2 is the game for you.
I have played Xenoblade Chronicles 2 more than any game I have played in my life. Everything about this game is perfect. The characters, the music, the gameplay, and the gorgeous landscapes are awe-inspiring. I can play XC2 over and over again and not get tired of it. XC2 is almost at 2 million copies sold in the Nintendo Switch. Give this game a look and help it get over 2 million copies sold. That is why XC2 is my favorite RPG of all time. Buy this game now!

Happy third anniversary Nintendo Switch. What makes the Switch so good? It is a portable and a home console. What makes a system is the games. The Switch has lots of those. Let’s also talk about what the Nintendo Switch needs to do to keep the momentum going in the future.
Nintendo Switch Has Great Games
From Xenoblade Chronicles 2 to Fire Emblem Three Houses, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Link’s Awakening, Pokemon Let’s Go, Sword, and Shield, Mario Odyssey, Octopath Traveler, Astral Chain, Mario Maker two, and Breath of the Wild to name a few. What a lineup of games! The variety and exclusives make the library so good. Nintendo has had trouble with third party games before. They have learned to embrace third party exclusives and indie games. Tons of variety and lots of exclusives give the Switch one of the best lineups in gaming.
The Switch Is Versatile
You can play the Switch in handheld, tabletop, and TV mode. You can play with the Joy-Cons attached or detached. Take your Switch wherever you go and keep your game going. There are Switch owners who play on the bus, while they are in the doctor’s office, and on the bed. That is one of the main appeals of the Switch. People can play quality home console games anywhere they want when they want.
The Switch has the pro controller and Joy-Cons. Both have their pros and cons. It depends on which one fits you better. The Switch does need analog triggers for FPS, but the built-in motion controls and IR camera gives a lot of versatility to the controllers. The design fits in your hand, and there are versatile options for those who like custom controllers.
Make the Online Robust
One department the Switch can do better is their online service. I like it, but some fans want to text achievements and invites. Nintendo can have a basic plan and a premium plan. Let the fans choose which version they want. Give them exclusive deals and games for being a premium subscriber. That would make subscribers happy and help the number of subscribers go up.
Nintendo, it is time to give the Switch folders, more wallpapers, internet, and Netflix. The Switch would be better if it had more features, and better UI. Give fans more features. The Switch could use more.
The Switch is my favorite System I’ve ever owned. The great games and versatile nature keep me coming back for more. I love playing it anywhere, and the games keep me engaged for months, or years after the release of the game. The Switch is my favorite System I’ve ever owned. The great games and versatile nature keep me coming back for more. I love playing it anywhere, and the games keep me engaged for months, or years after the release of the game. Get the Switch!

I am doing a top five fighting games of all time list. Only one per series, let’s get this show on the road.
5: Soul Calibur 2! The GameCube Version. Link is in this version. That’s all I need to say. Besides that, it has the best combat, balance, and challenge of all the Soul Calibur games. The graphics are still impressive, and the music is perfect. SC 2 will test your reflexes and your skill.
4: Killer Instinct The last arcade game I played a lot. I loved the CGI characters, the combo system, the depth, and the characters. Glacious was always my favorite character. The sequels did not live up to the first one, but they don’t dampen the reputation of the first KI either.
3: Dragon Ball FighterZ Wild combos, great characters, tons of modes, and fast gameplay make DBFZ a must play. It doesn’t matter what system you own DBFZ is a must-own fighting experience. It will test your reflexes and make you smile. You don’t have to be a DB fan to love this game. Buy this game.
2: Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers SF 2 hasn’t aged. It was the game that made the one on one fighting craze. Turbo is my favorite version of SF2. Playing as the boss characters and setting the speed to your liking adds lots of replay value. That says a lot about this game that it hasn’t aged, this is still a classic.
1: Super Smash Bros Ultimate No fighting game can come close to SSBU. Smash Bros. Ultimate lives up to its moniker with tons of characters and modes. Smash Ultimate is the best party game on the market. Smash makes a great one-player experience too. The story mode is engaging, and the characters are balanced. Smash is the best fighting game I’ve ever played.

This is about my favorite franchises in any form of entertainment. This is not a best list, but my favorite list. Let’s get started.
10: Star Trek. I adore Star Trek. My favorite ST show is Star Trek DS9. The movies have been a mixed bag, but it never took my love away from Star Trek.
9: Fire Emblem. There are lots of great RPGs, but Fire Emblem is my favorite. Awakening and Three Houses are both in my top ten games of all time. The characters, stories, and gameplay are all top-notch.
8: Xenoblade Chronicles. There are only three Xenoblade games, but they are some of the best games I’ve ever played. I love the characters and stories so much. They go into deep philosophy, and that gives Xenoblade Chronicles an edge on a lot of modern RPGs, including Final Fantasy.
7: X-Men. I love the X-Men! I grew up watching cartoons, reading comics, and watching movies tons of times. Wolverine is one of my favorite characters ever. I love Cyclops, Storm, Rogue, Kitty Pride, and so many more! They have great subjects to delve into, and the X-Men makes outsiders feel like they belong.
6: My Little Pony. I loved MLP. Ever since the first iteration, but it’s the newest version that I love the most. The colorful characters and hilarious humor will make you smile. I have MLP plushies, DVDs, and comic books. I love this adorable franchise.
5: She-Ra. I love He-Man, but I have always been partial to She-Ra. I love her backstory, her friends, and Hordak is one of my favorite villains of all time. The Netflix show is the best-animated show on right now.
4: Whedonverse. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Firefly are three of my favorite shows of all time. There is no TV show I love more than Buffy. The innovation, wit, and mythology influenced me on how to write the Buzzies.
3: Lord of the Rings. LOTR is special to me. I have seen the movies tons of times, and I love the World JRR Tolkein created. He was so good at creating lived-in worlds with real characters and relatable problems. The first trilogy remains three of the best movies ever made.
2: Star Wars. Nothing gets me excited like a new Star Wars movie. It’s like a holiday for me. I saw Episode Nine two times already. I have seen the first six movies over one hundred times apiece. No franchise has influenced me more than Star Wars. There is a lot of Star Wars in the Buzzies. That is no coincidence. I quote lines from the movies and shows all the time. I never get tired of watching or reading Star Wars.
1: Nintendo. Nothing brightens my day like playing Nintendo games. From Yoshi, Kirby, and Donkey Kong to Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Pokemon, and Star Fox. Nintendo makes me smile, and feel good about myself. When I was homeless, my 3DS kept me from going insane. Nothing means more to me than Nintendo games. They are my favorite company and make games that have a long-lasting impact on me. Thank you, Nintendo.
Ariana did not win a lot of Grammy’s, but she did win our hearts with her adorable dress. She looked like a billion dollars. Airana stole the show. Rock it girl! Here are some other great looks at the Grammy’s.

Jordan Peele is the toast of Hollywood right now. I have mixed feelings about this. I am glad he is doing well but is he a good writer? He won the Oscar for best original screenplay for Get Out. Here are the reasons I don’t think Get Out deserved the best screenplay.
Spoilers ahead, if you don’t want to know any spoilers, leave now.
Some things don’t make sense in the screenplay. How does Chris get the cotton in his ears with his hands strapped down? How did Chris’s friend find him? Chris suspected the family of being racist, but not his girlfriend (the families’ daughter) wasn’t? There are so many plot holes in the script I could drive a semi-truck through them.
The Characters Are Dumb
More Spoilers ahead. Don’t blame me if the movie is ruined for you.
Gee, I am a young man of color. I go to my girlfriend’s house to meet my future in-laws, some black servants are working there. The light bulb should’ve gone off in his head. He didn’t think Rose didn’t know about it? When he saw the pictures of her with all of the others, why didn’t he go for help? Some of the decisions the characters made in this movie made the teenagers in Friday the 13th movies look smart.
It Doesn’t Add Up
This wealthy family held all these POC against their will, but Chris and Rocky were able to outsmart them and the police? Why didn’t the police come and arrest Chris? How was Chris going to explain this? If this family had so much power? Why didn’t they call for help when Chris started to get the upper-hand? Hollywood Elsewhere did a brilliant critique of the screenplay to Get Out, so some of this is from his article.
The only reason Jodan Peele won the best screenplay is Hollywood doesn’t want people to think they’re racist. A lot of POC directors and writers ignored over the years. One award doesn’t make you pro POC Hollywood. Giving a mediocre screenplay best screenplay doesn’t make you woke. It makes your racism more obvious.

We are getting into the big guns now. I am on part 8 of my favorite movies of all time.
30: Kiki’s Delivery Service is one of Miyazaki’s best movies. Anyone who thinks Anime serializes all women needs to watch this charming classic. The humor is adorable, the characters will charm the pants off of you, and the story will melt your heart.
Rating: 4 Stars.
29: Alien/Aliens. Two of my favorite movies ever. Sigourney Weaver shines as Ellen Ripley, one of the greatest female heroines of all time. I like the second Alien movie better thanks to the heartwarming relationship between Ripley and Newt. One of the best mother/daughter relationships put in a movie.
28: Amelie. Audrey Tautou became a household name after this charmer became a worldwide hit. Amelie has a simple story, relatable characters, and an uplifting message. If you’re in a bad mood, watch Amelie. It will put a smile on your face.
27: Terminator and Terminator 2. I love James Cameron movies. It was the original Terminator that put him on the map. Unique cinematography, fast-paced action, and great storytelling make both Terminator movies classics. They are often imitated but never duplicated.
Grade: 4 Stars
26: Wolf Children. A timeless Anime that will make you laugh and cry in a matter of seconds. One of the best brother and sister duos you’ll ever see in any movie. You feel their conflict and pain with each other. How protective they get and how much they ultimately care about each other. Give this movie a chance, you will love it.
Grade: 4 Stars
25: Rear Window. Jimmy Stewart and Grace Kelly own the screen in this Hitchcock classic. Everything from the directing, to the screenplay, is done with care, attention to detail, and crafted to perfection. The last ten minutes are so intense, and the characters are smart. That’s a nice change of pace.
Grade: 4 Stars
24: GoldFinger. My favorite James Bond movie is Goldfinger. Goldfinger is a classic that never ages. Great action that is there to tell a story, not just blow things up for no reason. The humor is witty, and the story is classic Bond. The third entry in the Bond series is still my favorite.
Grade: 4 Stars
23: Hidden Fortress. Akira Kurosawa’s classic that influenced Star Wars still holds up. Kurosawa put so much love in his movies, and it shows. Hidden Fortress is a great movie to start with if you are new to Kurosawa. Hidden Fortress has a simple story and is easy to follow. A classic that hasn’t aged.
Grade: 4 Stars
22: Gravity. An incredible sci-fi marvel. Sandra Bullock is incredible. She makes you feel for her character. The movie avoids cliches by focusing on her inner thoughts. Tight directing and gorgeous cinematography are icing on the cake.
Grade: 4 Stars
21: Frozen 1 and 2. I love Frozen 1 and 2 now. The songs are catchy, the characters are memorable, and the animation is breathtaking. You will fall in love with both movies. I like the second one better myself. I thought it had a better story, and the girl power theme was stronger in the second movie.
Grade: 4 Stars

It’s safe to say that the New England Patriot’s run is over. With a new decade comes new teams that could be the next Patriots, Cowboys, 49ers or Steelers. Let’s get to cracking. These picks are in no particular order.
Tennessee Titans. The Titans have an incredible defense, a great running game, and offensive line. They have a lot of the tools to win two or three Super Bowls. The big question mark for the Titans is their quarterback.
San Francisco Forty-Niners. They’ve had one dynasty, and this group of young stars looks like they could be another. Nick Bosa is a future HOF, Garoppolo is a good quarterback, but he’s no Aaron Rodgers. Also, Kittle is not an elite tight end. They have a great shot, but they got to fill in a few spots before they can do it.
Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings have a great defense, offensive line, and a great running game. What the Vikings don’t have is a top tier QB. If the Vikings had someone like Russell Wilson or Lamar Jackson, they would be a dynasty.
Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs have a great QB, running game and offensive line. They don’t have an elite defense though to complete the package. The Chiefs are close to being a dynasty.
Jacksonville Jaguars. Josh Allen. That’s all I need to say. Allen is on his way to being the best defensive player the NFL has seen in decades. He had nearly eleven sacks, forty-two tackles, and two forced fumbles. He is a rookie, that’s the scary part. If the Jags can get an elite QB, and some great receivers, they will win two or three Super Bowls. Allen is that good.
The Baltimore Ravens. They’re a safe pick, but a great pick. The Ravens have everything a team needs to be a dynasty. A play-making QB, a great running game, and defense give them a great chance to be a dynasty. Their biggest flaw is their wide receivers who are average at best. The teams who beat Baltimore shut Jackson down to force the Ravens to win by using their wide receivers. Jackson is an elite talent who deserves better receivers. The Ravens would be a dynasty if they had better wide-outs.
The Cincinnati Bengals. Don’t laugh at this pick. They have the best tight end in the league Tyler Eifert, Geno Atkins is one of the best DTs in the league and AJ Green who is arguably the best wide receiver when he is healthy. The Bengals need to fix their offensive line, they need a middle linebacker, and they need to draft a QB. If the Bengals draft Joe Burrows, that could tip the scale in their favor to be the next great dynasty. The Bengals could win three or four Super Bowls.
Do you agree? Who do you think could be the NFL’s next great dynasty?
I remember the original She-Ra from my childhood. It was corny, funny, plus it had one of my favorite heroines ever. It is outdated by today’s standards, but the original She-Ra still has a place in my heart. When I heard a new version was in the works, I was skeptical. I didn’t want them to ruin one of my favorite cartoons from my childhood. I’m happy to say they get it.
The art style is stunning. Gorgeous colors, big eyes and expressions bring the characters and world to life. The colors are bright, but they can be darker to give a sinister look to the villains. There are some scary monsters in the show, so I don’t think I would let a really small child watch this.
One of the brightest spots of this show is the characters. Fan favorites like Catra, She-Ra, Bow, and Glimmer lead the charge with Hordak and other members of the evil horde making appearances. The characters have a surprising amount of depth to them. The show is not black or white on morality either.
The writing is sharp, clean and witty. Each character is vividly bought to life with distinct personality traits, and a clear sense of morality. The stories are fresh avoiding cliches that bring down too many shows aimed at younger people. She-Ra shows that shows aimed at younger people don’t have to insult their intelligence.
Some of the dialogue can be corny. The first episode takes a little long to get going, and some of the twists are a predictable. This doesn’t sink the show, not by a mile.
If you’re looking for a show aimed at LGBTQ yough that’s funny, action packed and intelligent, look no further than She-Ra and the Princess of Power. The pace moves fast, the jokes are funny, emotional moments and complex morality make She-Ra a top-notch show for the whole family. She-Ra is available for streaming on Netflix.
