The Buzzies has been a passion of mine for over 30 years. Why did I take so long to finish this book? Well, I was 8 years old when I thought of the idea, so I wasn’t close to being a writer yet. Secondly, I have been dealing with confidence issues my whole life. Now it seems I am getting over that and I am breaking through. It is time to meet the Buzzies! They are a great group of unique personalities who you will fall in love with. I love the action, drama and story elements of the book, but what I am most proud of is the characters.

The characters sparkle with crackling dialogue and stand out personalities. Meet, Pyrose, Lady Bug, Big Wazzy T, Hornet and Rockbuster B. They are unforgettable characters who you’ll fall in love with and relate to. I made it a point to make the characters and their problems relatable. I knew I had a challenge since none of the characters are human. The Buzzies are humanoids who evolved from Bumble Bees.

Why you should read the Buzzies?

It is an exciting, funny, dramatic and original book. This has it’s own mythology, which I am proud of. I mean, what are the big entertainment icons right now? Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel and DC heroes. I grew up on those! Young people don’t have their own original creations they can call their own. I hope when you read the Buzzies, you will look at Rockbuster, Lady Bug, Hornet, Big Wazzy T and Pyrose as your versions of Luke, Han and Leia. I want a new pop culture icon to happen. I am that ambitious with the Buzzies. I want them to be as memorable as Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. I am gonna show photos that my bestie drew so you can see them and tell me what you think.
